As wedding planners, our job is to ensure that no detail is overlooked. To help you envision and incorporate the elements that will make your special day truly unique, we’ve created a comprehensive guide to assist you every step of the way.
Flat Lay Details
A wedding flat lay is a styled and photographed arrangement of wedding details and accessories, captured by your photographer. These images are designed to showcase the smaller, often overlooked elements of the day in a visually appealing way.
Your flat lay may include items such as:
Invitation suite - save the date, invitation & envelope , details card, rsvp, wax seals, etc.
Rings and ring boxes - include engagement ring(s) and both wedding rings, as well as the fancy, monogrammed ring box you have ordered
Bridal accessories - jewelry (earrings, bracelet, necklace), veil, shoes
Groom's accessories - tie, cufflinks, watch
Meaningful keepsakes - family heirlooms, mementos
Ceremony Details
The ceremony details may seem small compared to most, but they add to the visual appeal of the ceremony space.
You may provide ceremony details such as:
Welcome sign - a sweet way to welcome guests and help them feel confident they made it to the right place!
Programs - these may be on each seat or in a basket at the entrance of the ceremony space for guests to grab
Reserved signs - if you would like to save rows for family or important guests, reserved signs will be the perfect way to ensure the rows remain open for these guests
Unity ceremony - this may be a candle, sand or maybe even wine
Flower girl basket - your florist will often provide loose petals to fill this basket
Ring bearer pillow - this may be something other than a pillow, maybe a briefcase or box
Reception Details
These details add elements of design to the reception space. These personal touches reflect your style, theme and vision while also ensuring a welcoming environment for guests that have traveled near and far to celebrate your love story!
Your reception details may include the following:
Signage and stationary - seating chart, bar menu, guest book, gifts & cards, party favors
Dinner service - table numbers & holders, place cards, menus, thank you note
Dessert table - cake knife & server, cake stand, toasting glasses (these items can be provided by your caterer, as well!)
Guest book - a guest book, pens or markers
Gift table - card box or basket
Memorial table - framed photos, candles
Your wedding day is a reflection of you and your future spouse, shared with the people you love most. This journal serves as a thoughtful guide to help you begin planning and organizing the details that will make your day truly unique and unforgettable.
